Ashantia Rhoomes, LMSW

Ashantia Rhoomes is a native of Queens, New York (home of the best “baconeggandcheese” on a bagel) and the eldest of 5 children. She is a first generation graduate of West Indian immigrant parents (Jamaica). At an early age, she demonstrated the passion and ability to identify and guide others through their life’s experiences. In 2015, Rhoomes obtained her Bachelors degree in social work and certification in Gerontology from Cedar Crest College (Allentown, PA). In 2018, she graduated from Simmons University (Boston, MA) with a Masters degree in social work and a specialty in Mental Health and Substance Use.

In the field for 5+ years, Rhoomes’ has expanded her passion for advocacy amongst vulnerable populations. Working to reduce stigmatization and criminalization of individuals with mental health disorders. She believes the combination of clinical and natural supports will improve self-confidence and the ability to gain and maintain stability within the community. Her mastery aids in the achievement of self empowerment and the manifestation of self-love, breaking generational curses, personal growth, overcoming depression, anxiety, and identifying racial issues all while remaining true to oneself.
