MY PHILOSOPHY:
I help adults cope with the challenges of loss and change, by helping them get unstuck, rebound, grow, and get back to living a full life again. All of us experience change in our lifetimes. Where are you on your healing journey?
Has there been a loss or a major change in your life? Are you grieving the death of a loved one? Do you have a “living loss”, where you’ve lost a job, relationship, or a friend or family member to mental illness or addiction? Are there changes at home, like a new empty nest? Maybe you’re living on your own for the first time. Loss can be life changing, and can stop you in your tracks.
You may feel shock, sadness, anxiety, and can’t concentrate or get things done. Your physical health may even suffer. If you feel stuck, lost, or down, know there is hope. I believe it is possible to heal, cope, and get back to fully living and thriving.
Life’s journey can be full of stress, major life changes, and successes. The mixed feelings from change and loss can sometimes feel too much to handle. Working with someone like me, who is a trained professional, can make things easier.
I focus on building trust, a genuine connection, offering a safe space, and helping you discover your strengths and ways to cope better. I bring warmth, empathy, and understanding as I help you find meaning in your life experiences. Using proven, evidence-based methods in counseling, I will work with you to make a plan that’s right for you. I want to create a comfortable space where you can freely talk about your emotions, needs, and values, and learn new ways to face life with confidence.
