
Carrie Lewis, MD is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist who specializes in the treatment of ADHD, anxiety disorders and depressive disorders.
Dr. Lewis has extensive experience providing comprehensive psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, medication management, to her patients in various settings including hospitals, schools, outpatient mental health clinics, drug-treatment centers, and even tele-psychiatry in rural areas of Maryland. She is passionate about providing quality, evidence-based care and educating her patients and their families about mental illness, treatment options, and overall wellness. In addition to direct clinical care, Dr. Lewis hopes to work to improve awareness of women’s mental health issues as well as patients with substance abuse disorders.
Education and Training:
Dr. Lewis is from Saint Louis, Missouri and attended Washington University in St. Louis for her undergraduate studies where she studied performance art and modern dance. After her undergraduate studies, Dr. Lewis attended a Post Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Program at Columbia University in New York City and completed her medical training at University of Kansas School of Medicine.
Dr. Lewis completed her Psychiatry Residency at George Washington University and her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Children’s National Health System in Washington, DC. She currently works as a part time medical director in community-based medicine.
