My name is Phyllis and I am a Licensed Graduate Marriage and Family Therapist (LGMFT). I attended Towson University where I received a Bachelor's degree in Family Science. I went on to receive my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Purdue University.
As an LGMFT, I am specially trained to see couples, families and individuals from all different walks of life. I am a Level 2 trained Gottman Method Couples Therapist as well as a Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist.
As your therapist, I’ll help you and your partner turn disagreements into opportunities for connection. You’ll find yourself “fighting fair,” communicating positively and constructively, and allowing room for intimacy. You’ll build skills that will stay with you for a lifetime, helping you through each challenge you face.
We can do this one-on-one. But, when you and your partner/family come to therapy together, change happens faster. I’ll use playful, age-appropriate tools to engage kids of all ages in the therapy process.
Parents and kids will discuss their thoughts and emotions and foster an environment of love, openness, and respect. You’ll gain a new understanding and appreciation for each other.
I believe that you are more than capable of solving your problems. If you’re ready to believe it too, reach out. Request an appointment for couples therapy, family therapy, or adult therapy to start breathing easier, feel less stress, and be the family team you always hoped to be.
Accepting in-person and virtual clients and works with both men and women.
